7-14-16

I am posting this on our 7th Anniversary (July 18, 2016).  I've actually always wanted to do an announcement for our anniversary, and now I finally get to!

We are having twins!
Our babies!
Seeing both babies for the first time since Transfer Day!
Several of the pictures that were taken.
Thursday 6 Weeks and 2 Days

Today was amazing!  This morning we heard each baby's heartbeat.  As soon as I sat down and the doctor started the ultrasound he immediately said something about there being two sacs.  I was so relieved to hear both babies were still there.  It made this extra nausea and crumminess I've been feeling worth it.  He measured both babies and it looks like Baby B is slightly bigger than Baby A.  It will be fun to see how they grow over the next several months.  While he was measuring each baby, it looked like you could see a little flicker on the screen.  Normally you wouldn't see or hear a heartbeat this early, but our doctor decided to try and get it for us.  Seth was able to record that precious sound for both Baby A and Baby B!  They have nice strong heartbeats.  The doctor said this is a good sign and can lower our chances for a miscarriage.  Our little babies wanted to make sure we knew they were there.  It was surreal hearing both their heartbeats.  I literally have 3 hearts in me right now.  It's crazy.

Seth took a video of the ultrasound.  It's too long to post, but it is neat to re-watch.  He actually watched it while I drove him back to work.  Since my iPhone is connected to the car, it came over the speakers and I could hear all my questions/comments (This doesn't hurt the babies right?  What's that?  This makes being sick worth it.  etc.) which were funny to hear.

The pregnancy nausea and heartburn are on another level.  It makes me grateful I don't have to work full-time right now.  I couldn't imagine trying to teach this school year while feeling the way I do.  Tutoring and volunteering are much better for my current situation!

  1. That is so exciting that you heard both babies' heart beats! I was thrilled to hear it too since you guys recorded it! Amazing!!! Those babies are so happy nestled inside of you! I love that! I only wish you felt better. You sure go through a lot for those babies! It will be so with it, but I hope you get over the nauseated feelings and quit throwing up. I know that is miserable. I can't wait to see you guys holding your babies! What a great 7 year anniversary to be celebrating your parenthood together! You guys will be the most amazing mom and dad! You are making a beautiful family together! Love you all! Mom
